Connecting Social Media Accounts

From the Platform Administration area, Admins can securely connect the organization’s social media accounts to Clarence AI.

Supported platforms

Clarence AI currently supports connecting:

  • X (Twitter)
  • Facebook
  • Instagram

Each account must be authorized before Clarence AI can read mentions or publish posts on your behalf.

Connecting an account

While the exact steps depend on the platform’s authorization flow, the general process is:

  1. Navigate to the Social Accounts or equivalent settings area.
  2. Choose the platform you want to connect (X, Facebook, or Instagram).
  3. Click Connect and follow the platform’s login/authorization steps.
  4. Review and confirm the requested permissions.

Once connected:

  • Accounts become available to the Poster tab, Campaign Management, and AI Response Management.
  • Admins can later disconnect or re‑authorize accounts if credentials change.

Only connect official, organization‑owned accounts. Personal or ad‑hoc accounts should not be linked to Clarence AI.
