Monitoring Key Metrics

The Analytics Dashboard tracks several core metrics that help you evaluate your social media performance at a glance.

Metrics available

The main metrics displayed in the dashboard include:

  • Mentions – the total number of times your brand has been mentioned.
  • Engagement – the total volume of likes, shares, comments, and other interactions.
  • Reach – an estimate of how many people have seen your content.
  • Sentiment – a breakdown of the public’s attitude toward your brand (see Sentiment Analysis).

These metrics are typically visualized with interactive charts and graphs, making it easy to spot trends over time.

Interpreting the metrics

  • A spike in mentions may indicate increased public interest, a breaking news event, or a developing issue.
  • Changes in engagement show how compelling your content is and how actively people are interacting with your brand.
  • Reach helps you understand how far your messages are spreading beyond your immediate followers.
  • Sentiment tells you whether the overall conversation is positive, negative, or neutral.
tip

Use these metrics together. For example, a spike in mentions combined with a drop in sentiment may signal an emerging crisis that needs attention.
