Normal Configuration Setup

Normal configurations are used for general, day‑to‑day responses that handle routine questions and interactions.

When to use a Normal configuration

Use a Normal configuration for topics such as:

  • Office hours and contact information
  • Basic service descriptions
  • Standard policy explanations
  • Links to public resources

These are topics where you are comfortable allowing the AI to respond automatically based on your Knowledge Base.

Creating a Normal configuration

When setting up a Normal configuration, you will typically define:

  1. Title – A clear name for the configuration (for example, "Hours of Operation", "General Inquiry").
  2. Tone – The personality the AI should use (for example, "Formal", "Helpful", "Professional").
  3. Platform – Which social media account(s) this configuration applies to.
  4. Keywords – Words or phrases that should trigger this configuration (for example, "hours", "contact", "website").
  5. Response Instructions – Specific guidance to the AI (for example, "Respond by providing the office hours and a link to the contact page").
  6. Tweet/Message Examples – A few good and bad responses to demonstrate the desired style and boundaries.
tip

Start with a small number of clearly defined Normal configurations, monitor their output, and expand gradually as you gain confidence in the AI’s behaviour.

For high‑risk or politically sensitive topics, use a Sensitive/Crisis Management Configuration instead.
